Arts Education Conference: Collaborating for Quality

Running the education department of a theater company can feel like a lonely job. Many of us are "departments of one." Yet many of us are doing complementary work across the CPS landscape, working with the same CPS students, teachers, and administrators without ever knowing it. We hire and train the same teaching artists. We even lead the same warmup activities! How can we better utilize our collective impact? What might a more impactful and efficient theatre education landscape look like, and how can theater education departments band together to make it a reality? Join our facilitators as we use some of our favorite drama-based instructional strategies to explore these ideas with our colleagues from across the city.
