What are the attributes of an equitable and robust learning environment in which all students are supported in becoming knowledgeable, flexible, and resourceful disciplinary thinkers? In this session we will explore three components of powerful classrooms: Agency, Authority, and Identity. Participants will learn how to develop these competencies in themselves and, subsequently, in their students—leading to increased engagement, ownership over content, and development of positive identities as thinkers, learners, and artists.
